Gene Information

rabbit ... Ku70(2547)

Immunogen

The epitope recognized by PLA0263 maps to a region between residue 500 and 550 of human Lupus Ku autoantigen protein p70 using the numbering given in entry NP_001460.1 (GeneID 2547).

Physical form

Tris-buffered Saline containing 0.1% BSA containing 0.09% Sodium Azide

Other Notes

Ku70 is the 70 kDa subunit of the lupus Ku autoantigen. The lupus Ku autoantigen was identified in individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and related disorders. The Ku antigen is a heterodimer of Ku70 and Ku80. The Ku70/Ku80 complex functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. The complex may be involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends such as that required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V(D)J recombination.
