Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
Human Tumor Necrosis Factor α ELISA Kit has been used to measure the concentration of TNF-α in pre-adipocyte growth medium, blood sample and in human bronchial epithelial cell (BEAS 2B) culture supernatantand normal human keratinocytes (NHK) cell culture supernatant.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF-α) helps in regulating immune response and it acts as a proinflammatory cytokine. TNF-α is implicated in the immune pathogenesis of various autoimmune, inflammatory diseases and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Overexpression of the protein has been observed in serum from oral lichen planus (OLP) patients. Mutation in the gene promotor increases the risk of susceptibility to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and marginal zone lymphoma.

General description

The Human TNF-α ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human TNF-α in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and urine.
