General description
SigmaScreen Collagen I coated multiwell plates are coated with Collagen I from rat tail. Collagen I, a fibrous extracellular matrix protein, is found in tendons, bones, and a variety of tissues and organs. Commonly used as an attachment factor for serum free or low serum cultures, cells attach firmly to Collagen I via integrin surface receptors, thereby promoting cell attachment and spreading. SigmaScreen Collagen I coated multiwell plates can be used with various cell lines including COS-7 and PC-12. For a more comprehensive listing of cell lines used with Collagen I coated multiwell plates, please refer to the Collagen I coated plate technical bulletin. Manufactured under ISO9002 in Sigma′s GMP facility, Sigma′s Collagen I coated multiwell plates are bioburden tested (fungal and bacterial) and endotoxin free.
