General description

Biochem/physiol Actions

Catalyzes the conjugation of sulfate groups onto a variety of xenobiotic and endogenous substrates.
Sulfotransferase enzymes catalyze the conjugation of sulfate groups onto a variety of xenobiotic and endogenous substrates that possess acceptor moieties such as hydroxyl and amine groups.

Other Notes

Cytosol extract in 1 mM potassium phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, containing 0.1 mM EDTA and 1 mM DTT.
One unit will conjugate one picomole of dopamine per minute at pH 6.5 at 37 °C.
