General description
Enhance your research with SIGMAFAST Combined Protease and Phosphatase Inhibitor Tablets (S8850). This advanced inhibitor cocktail is designed for researchers looking to preserve the integrity of phosphorylated proteins and prevent proteolytic degradation during cell lysis. Phosphorylation plays a critical role in regulating enzyme activity and cellular signaling, making it essential to include a comprehensive inhibitor solution in your experimental protocols.
Key Components:
To prepare your inhibitor solution, dissolve one tablet in 20 mL of water or cell lysis buffer to create a 1X solution. For more concentrated applications, reconstitute the tablet in a smaller volume (2 mL) to produce a 10X stock solution, which can then be diluted as needed. Keep in mind that concentrations greater than 1X may appear hazy, but this does not affect inhibitor performance.
Key Components:
- Phosphatase Inhibitors:
 - Bromolevamisole oxalate: Potent alkaline phosphatase inhibitor.
 - Cantharidin: Selective inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2 (PP2A).
 - Sodium fluoride: Irreversible inhibitor of serine, threonine, and acid phosphatases.
 - Sodium orthovanadate: Irreversible inhibitor of tyrosine and alkaline phosphatases.
 - Protease Inhibitors:
 - Antipain: Inhibits serine & cysteine proteases.
 - Aprotinin: Inhibits trypsin and human leukocyte elastase.
 - Bestatin: Inhibits aminopeptidases.
 - Elastatinal: Irreversible inhibitor of elastase.
 - Leupeptin: Inhibits serine and cysteine proteases.
 - Nafamostat mesylate: Serine protease inhibitor.
 - Phosphoramidon: Specific metalloprotease inhibitor.
 - Pepstatin A: Inhibits aspartic acid proteases.

Application
Ideal for research of protein phosphorylation, cellular signaling, and disease studies.
Features and Benefits
- Comprehensive inhibition: Targets a wide range of phosphatases and proteases.
 - Easy preparation: Simple dilution process for quick application.
 - High stability: Reliable performance for extended periods.

Preparation Note
- Unopened tablets are stable for approximately 4 years at 2-8 °C.
 - The reconstituted inhibitor solution remains stable for about 2 weeks at 2-8 °C. Avoid freezing the reconstituted solutions to prevent precipitation.
