Gene Information
human ... CLC4(1183)
General description
CLCN4 (chloride channel 4) gene codes for the chloride/hydrogen ion exchanger CIC-4. It is abundantly expressed in brain. ClC-4 belongs to the ClC transporter branch. It is present in the intracellular membranes of the brain, muscle and liver. This gene is located on human chromosome Xp22.3.
Immunogen
CLC4 (NP_001821, 662-699)
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human CLC4.
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human CLC4.
Biochem/physiol Actions
CLCN4 (chloride channel 4) is associated with X-linked intellectual disability and epilepsy. ClC-4 helps to interchange anion/proton with variable stoichiometry.
Physical form
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide.
