Gene Information
human ... PHLPP2(23035)
General description
The PH domain and leucine rich repeat protein phosphatase 2 (PHLPP2) gene with 18 exons, is mapped to human chromosome 16q22.2. The encoded protein is a isoform of PHLPP family and is composed of 1323 amino acids. PHLPP2 is characterized with a pleckstrin homology domain (PH domain), leucine-rich repeats, a protein phosphatase 2C (PP2C) domain and a PDZ-binding motif.

PHLPP2 (NP_055835, 9-42)
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the N-term region of human PHLPP2.
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the N-term region of human PHLPP2.
Application
Anti-PHLPP2 (N-term) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions
PH domain and leucine rich repeat protein phosphatase 2 (PHLPP2) is a tumor suppressor. It plays a vital role in cell survival by inactivating Akt, inhibiting cell-cycle progression and stimulating apoptosis. Expression of PHLPP protein is decreased in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinomas (HSCCs). Thus, this protein can be used as a marker to determine the poor prognosis in HSCCs patients.
Physical form
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide.

Recent advances indicate a possible role of phytochemicals as modulatory factors in signaling pathways. We have previously demonstrated PHLPP2-mediated suppression of Nrf2 responses during oxidant attack. The present study was designed to explore Nrf2-potentiating mechanism of morin, a flavonol, via
