General description

CARS is a class 2 aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase, cysteinyl-tRNA synthetase. Each of the twenty aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyzes the aminoacylation of a specific tRNA or tRNA isoaccepting family with the cognate amino acid. It catalyzes the chemical reaction: ATP + L-cysteine + tRNA(Cys) = AMP + diphosphate + L-cysteinyl-tRNA(Cys).

CARS2 (NP_078813, 541-574)
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-term region of human CARS2.
