Biochem/physiol Actions
Linker for activation of T1 (LAT1) protein is a transmembrane adaptor signaling molecule. It aids in connecting T cell antigen receptor complex (TCR) to intracellular signaling cascades, which is essential for T-cell development and function. Mutation in the LAT1 gene causes severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID).

General description
Linker for activation of T1 (LAT1) is a tyrosine-phosphorylated integral membrane protein. It is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 16p11.2. LAT is found in peripheral blood lymphocytes, spleen, and thymus. In addition, its expression is also observed in various blood cell types including platelets, megakaryocytes, mast cells, and natural killer cells.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence C-GAPDYENLQELN from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_055202.1; NP_001014987.1; NP_001014989.1; NP_001014988.1.
Physical form
Supplied at 0.5 mg/mL in Tris saline with 0.02% sodium azide and 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
