Immunoglobulin G (IgG) belongs to the immunoglobulin family and is a widely expressed serum antibody. An immunoglobulin has two heavy chains and two light chains connected by a disulfide bond. It mainly helps in immune defense. It is a glycoprotein and a major class of immunoglobulin. Cat IgG is further divided into three classes.

Cat IgG F(c) fragment

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) participates in hypersensitivity type II and type III. Cat IgG subclasses are considered to interact in a unique manner with protein A. Cat IgG cannot move across the placental barrier, hence maternal immunity is provided to neonates through colostrum.

This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Cat IgG coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against Anti-Peroxidase, Anti-Goat Serum, Cat IgG, Cat IgG F(c) and Cat Serum. No reaction was observed against Cat IgG F(ab′)2.

Supplied in 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2 with 10 mg/mL Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) - Immunoglobulin and Protease free

Reconstitute with 1.0 mL deionized water (or equivalent).
