Gene Information
human ... MTIF3(219402)
General description
Mitochondrial translational initiation factor 3 (MTIF3) gene is mapped to human chromosome 13q12.2.
Immunogen
MTIF3 purified recombinant protein
Biochem/physiol Actions
Mitochondrial translational initiation factor 3 (MTIF3) initiates the synthesis of mitochondrial proteins. Altered gene function affects the expression of the mitochondrial proteins. Mutation in MTIF3 is known to cause Parkinson′s disease.
Physical form
Solution in Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium with 10% fetal calf serum and 15 mM sodium azide.
