Biochem/physiol Actions

LYG-202 is a synthetic flavanoid that induces apoptosis and is a CK2 inhibitor.
LYG-202 is a synthetic flavanoid that induces apoptosis in several cancer cell lines. LYG-202 induces G1/S phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in HCT116 cells by a mechanism that involves increases in p21(WAF1/Cip1) and Rb expression. In HepG2 cells, the compound LYG-202 potentiates the apoptotic effects of TNFα by inhibiting casein kinase 2 (CK2).

Cell cycle (Georgetown, Tex.), 14(11), 1704-1715 (2015-04-16)
To maintain genome stability, the thousands of replication origins of mammalian genomes must only initiate replication once per cell cycle. This is achieved by a strict temporal separation of ongoing replication in S phase, and the formation of pre-replicative complexes
