MPT0B014 inhibits tubulin polymerization and disrupts microtubules in the cytoskeleton. The compound MPT0B014 inhibits proliferation of the lung cancer cells A549, H1299, and H226 with IC50 values of 41, 46 and 42 nM, respectively. MPT0B014 induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, inhibits tumor growth in lung cancer xenografts, and potentiates inhibition of tumor growth by erlotinib.
