Biochem/physiol Actions

AZ1080 is a brain penetrant, orally bioavailable, potent and selective glycogen synthase kinase (GSK3) inhibitor that reduce pcdc1 (PD-1) transcription and expression. AZ1080 enhances CD8+ T-cell function in cancer, and is as effective as ant-PD-1 in controlling of B16 melanoma and EL4 lymphoma growth in mice.

Glycogen synthase kinase (GSK3) is a constitutively active serine-threonine kinase associated to neurological and psychiatric disorders. GSK3 inhibition is considered a mediator of the efficacy of the mood-stabiliser lithium. This study aimed at comparing the central nervous system effect of

The impact of PD-1 immune checkpoint therapy prompts exploration of other strategies to downregulate PD-1 for cancer therapy. We previously showed that the serine/threonine kinase, glycogen synthase kinase, GSK-3α/β, is a central regulator of PD-1 transcription in CD8+ T cells.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease. The α-Synuclein is a major component of Lewy bodies and Lewy neurites, the pathologic hallmark of PD. It is known that α-Synuclein is phosphorylated (p-α-Synuclein) in PD and tau-hyperphosphorylation (p-Tau)
