Biochem/physiol Actions

Cell penetrant, potent and selective inhibitor of Plasmodium falciparum myosin A (PfMyoA) and Toxoplasma gondii myosin A (TgMyoA).

KNX-002 is a cell penetrant, potent and selective inhibitor of Plasmodium falciparum myosin A (PfMyoA) and Toxoplasma gondii myosin A (TgMyoA) that has no or little effect on the vertebrate myosins tested. KNX-002 obstructs efficient ATP hydrolysis thus inhibiting motor activity. KNX-002 inhibits parasite motility and growth.
