General description

Enables selective biotinylation of azide-containing biomolecules via CuAAC for robust detection, purification, and immobilization.
Biotin Alkyne (N-Propargylbiotinamide) is a non-cleavable, alkyne-activated biotinylation reagent that enables selective labeling of azide-containing biomolecules via copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). The terminal alkyne reacts with azides to form a stable triazole linkage, facilitating permanent biotin conjugation to proteins, nucleic acids, or other targets. Biotin provides high-affinity interactions with streptavidin or avidin for detection, purification, or immobilization and, being preferentially taken up by cancer cells, serves as an excellent guiding molecule to tumor cells, enabling targeted detection and delivery. This reagent enables site-specific bioconjugation on cell surfaces, in lysates, or in vitro, excelling in bio- and chemical sensing to deliver reliable results in proteomics and molecular biology workflows.
