General description
Human macrophage inflammatory protein-5 (MIP-5) also known as Lkn-1 has been shown to be chemotactic for T-lymphocytes but not for monocytes or granulocytes. Recombinant human MIP-5β is a 10.1 kDa protein containing 92 amino acid residues.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution containing 20 mM PBS pH7.4 and 100 mM NaCl.
Preparation Note
Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
