General description

Eotaxin-2 also known as MPIF-2 is a CC chemokine characterized by its high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils. Human eotaxin-2 is 8.8 kDa protein containing 78 amino acid residues.

Physical form

The protein was lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) sterile solution containing 20 mM PBS pH-7.4 and 0.15 M sodium chloride.

Preparation Note

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1 μg/μL. It is recommended that further dilutions be made into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum.
