General description

Monoclonal Anti-dTAF80 (mouse IgG2b isotype) is derived from the hybridoma 3D10 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from mice. Drosophila tightly associated factor 80 (dTAF80), also known as tightly associated factor 5 (TAF5) consists of numerous copies ofβ−transducin (WD40) repeat.

Immunogen

Drosophila TFIID complex.

Application

Anti-dTAF80 antibody, mouse monoclonal may be used in immunoblotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Biochem/physiol Actions

Drosophila tightly associated factor 80 (dTAF80) recognizes and interacts with a higher-order complex containing TATA box-binding protein (TBP), delta N250, 110 and 60.
Monoclonal Anti-dTAF80 reacts specifically with Drosophila dTAF80

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Preparation Note

For extended storage, freeze at -20 °C in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing, or storage in “frost-free” freezers, is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples shouldbe discard if not used within 12 hours.
