Application
The interaction of TECK and its receptor CCR9 plays a pivotal role in recruiting the developing thymocytes to their distinct compartment of the thymus.
Biochem/physiol Actions
TECK, a CC chemokine, is chemotactic for activated macrophages, dendritic cells, and thymocytes.
Thymus-expressed chemokine (TECK) belongs to CC chemokine and is expressed mainly in thymus and small intestine. It can facilitate chemotaxis of human G protein-coupled receptor GPR-9-6/L1.2 transfectants. Further, TECK potentially assists in T Cell Development.
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing at least 50 μg bovine serum albumin per 1 μg of cytokine.
Analysis Note
The biological activity is measured by its ability to chemoattract hCCR9 transfected BaF/3 cells.

TECK (thymus-expressed chemokine), a recently described CC chemokine expressed in thymus and small intestine, was found to mediate chemotaxis of human G protein-coupled receptor GPR-9-6/L1.2 transfectants. This activity was blocked by anti-GPR-9-6 monoclonal antibody (mAb) 3C3. GPR-9-6 is expressed on

A novel CC chemokine was identified in the thymus of mouse and human and was designated TECK (thymus-expressed chemokine). TECK has weak homology to other CC chemokines and maps to mouse chromosome 8. Besides the thymus, mRNA encoding TECK was
