General description

The desiccant cartridges can be regenerated by gentle overnight heating in a 50°C (122°F) oven (higher temperature can melt dish). For quicker regeneration, cut open the membrane and transport beads to a glass or porcelain dish and heat in a 150°C (302°F) oven for one hour. Silica gel is non-toxic, non-corrosive and inert. Clear polystyrene dish contains indicating silica gel and allows instant visual inspection. Porous membrane cover provides good air exchange for efficient moisture absorption.

Use to reduce moisture in desiccator cabinets or within cases containing precision laboratory instruments.

  • Silica gel beads transform to pink color when saturated with moisture
  • Transparent polystyrene dish permits instantaneous visual examination of silica gel color
  • Large or small cartridges to match requirements
  • Cartridges are shipped in individual sealed pouches, ready for immediate use.
Useful anywhere desiccation is needed, these cartridges contain inert, non-corrosive and non-toxic silica gel. They fit “Space Saver” desiccators, in addition to other plastic desiccators of similar size.
  • Clear polypropylene dish allows instant visual inspection of silica gel, which changes in color from blue to pale pink as it absorbs moisture
  • Highly porous mesh membrane covers the dish providing excellent moisture absorption
  • Desiccant can be easily regenerated by heating cartridges in a 50ºC (122ºF) oven overnight or at 100ºC (212ºF) for 6 hours
  • For more rapid drying, remove the membrane lid, transfer the spent gel crystals into a glass or porcelain dish, and place in a 150ºC (300ºF) oven for one hour
  • Individually foil sealed
