ABI DNA Sequencing Unit Accessories

Sigma offers glass plates, Mylar combs, and spacers designed specifically to meet the rigid specifications of the ABI^™ 373 and 377 DNA sequencing units. Notched glass places are beveled for easy handling; well-to-read (WTR) distances as well as overall dimensions are given. Combs have printed well numbers and center marks. Glass plates can be purchased individually or in sets.

Special features of Step Plates:

• Front plate is beveled to create a thicker gel in the comb area, giving enough sample capacity for 96 lanes
• Gel casting is standard, but uses a 0.4 mm casting comb and sharktooth comb

Special features of Microtrough 96 plates:

• Microtroughs notched inside the front plate provide enough sample capacity for 96 lanes
• A special Mylar plug instead of a standard casting comb
• Microtroughs provide greater loading area and guide your pipette tops for more accurate sample placement, eliminating the need for expensive loaders or specialized tips
