tubing L × O.D. × I.D.
50 ft × 1/8 in. (3.18 mm) × 0.085 in. (2.1 mm)
General description
Maximum temperature of 200 °C.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) is a fluoropolymer which is the most lubricious polymer with low co-efficient of friction. PTFE tubing is chosen due to its excellent hydrophobicity, chemical inertness, and ability to withstand high pressures. It can be suitable to protect the optical fibres.
Application
PTFE tubing may be used to connect the gas lines to the ports during gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of volatile organic compounds from potato tubers inoculated with Phytophthora infestans or Fusarium coeruleum.
