General description
BSA (N,O-Bis(trimethylsilyl)acetamide) is a powerful reagent for silyation of alkyl hydroperoxides. It reacts quantitatively under mild conditions with alcohols, amines, phenols and carboxylic acids which gives trimethylsilyl ethers and esters.
Application
BSA was used in silyation procedure of amino acid phenylthiohydantoin standards during GC analysis.

Reagent for 1,3-dipheylimidazolidine-2-carboxylic acid, o-ethyloxime, quinoxalone, trimethylsilyl and trimethylsilyl oximes.
