General description

Zearalenone is a mycotoxin, produced by Fusarium species and often contaminates grains and stored feeds.

Application

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
Zearalenone was used as standard in microwave-assisted extraction method for determination of zearalenone in wheat and corn by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry with an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization interface. It was used as analytical standard in determination of zearalenone content of maize, wheat, barley, swine feed and poultry feed samples by immunoaffinity column clean-up followed by liquid chromatography. It may be used as internal standard in simultaneous determination of the type A- and B-trichothecenes as well as zearalenone in maize by high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.
