General description

Polywax is comprised of polyethylenes (PEs), and has a wide range of molecular weights. Polywax 500 is a synthetic wax. It can be used in order to optimize FI (Field Ionization) conditions, for carbon number distributions.

Application

Polywax 500 along with Polywax 655 was used as test analytes to understand the effect of pore size and inlet pressure on the n-alkane carbon number eluting, during a comparative study of packed capillary solvating gas chromatography with supercritical fluid chromatography, using carbon dioxide as the mobile phase.
