Application

Mecoprop is a post-emergence herbicide used to control broad-leaved weeds on non-crop areas. Under Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009 it is not approved for use as a plant protection product in the European Union. Maximum residue levels (MRLs) have been set according Reg. (EC) No 149/2008 for mecoprop (sum of mecoprop-p and mecoprop expressed as mecoprop) for various products of plant and animal origin in the range of 0.05 - 0.1 mg/kg . The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
