Application

Metazachlor is a residual herbicide used to control a wide range of weeds in crops, ornamental trees and shrubs. It is approved for its use as a plant protection product in the Europea Union (EU) according to the Reg. (EC) No 1107/2009. Maximum residue levels (MRLs) have been set for various products of plant and animal origin for metazachlor (sum of metabolites 479M04, 479M08 and 479M16, expressed as metazachlor) according to the reg. (EU) 2021/1807 in the range of 0.01 - 0.9 mg/kg. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
