General description

Isofenphos is an organophosphorus pesticide, used for the control of larvae of Popillia japonica Newman, soil-dwelling pests of corn (Amaze), Delia antiqua (Onion flies), Chamaepsila rosae (carrot flies), wireworms, etc. Toxicologically, the pesticide acts by the inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity.

Application

Isofenphos may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the pesticide residue in meat samples, leeks, rice and human tissues by various chromatography techniques.
