Abamectin belongs to the general class of 16-membered macrocyclic lactones, avermectins, widely used in controlling nematodes and arthropod parasites in farm animals.

Application

Abamectin may be used as a reference standard for the analysis of the biopesticide, abamectin in soil samples using solid-phase extraction coupled with high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection.
