General description
Dimethylarsinic acid is a nonselective type of herbicide and a metabolite of inorganic arsenic, which is used to defoliate or desiccate a wide variety of plants.
Application
Dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) may be used as a reference standard for the determination of dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) in fish tissues and urine samples by high-performance liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (HPLC/ICP/MS).
Dimethylarsinic acid may be used as a reference standard in the determination of dimethylarsinic acid in urine samples using gas chromatography coupled with ion trap mass spectrometry (GC-MS).

There is growing evidence that chronic exposure to inorganic arsenic (iAs) is associated with an increased prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, the mechanisms for the diabetogenic effect of iAs are still largely unknown. White adipose tissue (WAT) actively
