皮质醇或氢化可的松，也称为应激激素，是一种糖皮质激素类固醇。它由肾上腺释放，参与维持昼夜节律。通过LC-MS/MS在全血中对激素进行测定，以在新生儿中进行先天性肾上腺增生（CAH）的筛查，同时，通过LC-MS/MS在血清或血浆中对激素进行测定，以对多种疾病，包括库兴氏综合征、艾迪生氏病和席汉氏综合征进行确定。

应用

该认证标准物质（CRM）还可作如下用途：
  • 开发基于直接竞争-酶联免疫分析法（DC-ELISA）的一次性免疫传感器，用于测定人唾液样品中的皮质醇
  • 使用液相色谱-串联质谱（LC-MS/MS）法定量分析人头发样品中的皮质醇
