Application

Anti-CD34 Antibody, Class II, clone QBEND/10 is an antibody against CD34 Class II for use in FC, IP, IH, IH(P).
Identification of haemopoietic progenitor cells

Studies into the control mechanisms of early haemopoiesis

Purification of haemopoietic cells from, for example, FACS

The antibody reacts with both frozen and fixed tissue sections from vascular endothelium and stromal fibroblasts

Immunohistochemistry in parraffin sections: Pretreatment is HIER with citrate buffer, pH 6.0.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Biochem/physiol Actions

The antibody recognizes a heavily glycosylated transmembrane protein: gp 105-120 kDa. The antigen is expressed on immature human haemopoietic precursor cells, capillary endothelial cells and human myeloid cells in the following categories: subsets of CFU-GEMM and BFU-E, all CFU-GM, granulocyte precursors, monocytes, myeloid leukaemias. This antibody recognizes the class II epitope showing resistance to neuraminidase enzyme cleavage.

KNOWN SPECIES CROSS REACTIVITY: Positive with rhesus monkey peripheral blood leucocytes in flow cytometry.

FUSION PARTNER: NSO myeloma cell line

Physical form

Format: Purified
The monoclonal is presented at a concentration of 100μg/1ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 10mM sodium azide and 1mg/ml bovine serum albumin. We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.

Preparation Note

For use within 1 month of purchase store at +4°C, for long term storage aliquot antibody into small volumes and store at -20°C.

As the focus of stem cell research undergoes a transition from animal to human models, researchers are in critical need of validated products to support the isolation, maintenance, differentiation, and characterization of human stem cells. While many reagents designed for rodent systems can be applied to human stem cell studies, they are not truly optimized for robust human stem cell culture or analysis. This is why human stem cell researchers have always trusted EMD Millipore, the first provider of commercially available human embryonic stem cells and human neural stem cell lines, to accelerate their research. All of our human stem cell systems are extensively tested in defined media culture, and differentiated progeny are comprehensively characterized with highly validated antibodies and detection reagents.

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
