General description
Mannitol Fermentation Membranes are substrate-carrying ID membranes used for rapid identification and differentiation of mannitol fermenting microorganisms from mixed flora. The membranes contain chromogenic substrates, which serve as the basis for microbe differentiation by color. The principle is based on the acid production during the fermentation, as indicated by the color change of a pH indicator to yellow.
Application
Mannitol Fermentation ID Membrane is used for rapid detection & confirmation of mannitol fermenting organisms in water and food samples. They find their application in various sectors such as the food and dairy industry, water industry, pharmaceutical laboratory testing, cosmetic industry, environmental and sanitary testing, clinical diagnostics, etc.
