General description

Campylobacter Millichrome™ plus Supplement for 25 L is a selective supplement for the detection of thermotolerant Campylobacter and provides additional selectivity to the Campylobacter Millichrome™ plus Agar Base. The package contains 1 vial of supplement sufficient for 25 liters of final media. The supplement must be added to the melted Campylobacter Millichrome™ plus Agar Base at 45-50 °C.

Application

Campylobacter Millichrome™ plus Supplement for 25L is a selective supplement used in the qualitative direct detection, differentiation, and presumptive identification of thermotolerant Campylobacter. The supplement is used in the analyses of food products for human consumption, animal feed, and environmental samples.

Preparation Note

  • In a transparent vessel, add 210 mg of Campylobacter Millichrome™ plus Supplement to 10 ml of purified water.
  • Swirl well until complete dissolution.
  • Filter to sterilize at 0.45 μm.
  • Add the 10 ml of the supplement solution to 1 liter of the melted Campylobacter Millichrome™ plus Supplement for 5L at 45-50 °C.
  • Swirl or stir gently to homogenize.
  • Store in tightly sealed containers at 2-8°C.
  • Keep away from heat and sources of ignition.
