2BII, the major glycoprotein fraction of the cell wall of Chlamydomonas reinhardii

The antibody recognises glycoprotein 2BII. Binding is lost after acid hydrolysis or de-glycosylation of 2BII. The antibody also cross-reacts with cell wall of Lobomonas piriformis. AFRC MAC 18 antibody shows similar fine specificity and properties to AFRC MAC 19 and 20.

DMEM + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO₂; 37°C. These cells require mouse macrophage feeder layers upon resuscitation
