The antibody recognises an antigen detected only on rat T blasts that also express the CD4 antigen. The OX-40 antigen is a distinct chain of molecular weight 45-50kDa. OX-40 monoclonal antibody augments T cell proliferation at late stages of in vitro responses.
Preparation Note
RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)
Seed at 5x10,000 viable cells/ml. Subculture when cells reach 5x100,000-1x1,000,000 cells/ml (usually after 3-4 days); 5% CO2; 37°C.
