The ED17 hybridoma cell line secretes antibodies reactive against a 55 kDa membrane antigen on tissue macrophages. ED17 reacts strongly with red pulp macrophages in the spleen and Langerhans cells in the skin as well as peritoneal macrophages. The antibody also recognises rat SIRP (personal communication).

Preparation Note

Maintain cultures between 3-9 x 100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37 °C
RPMI 1640 + 2 mM glutamine + 10% FBS
