Iloperidone is an atypical antipsychotic administered for the treatment of schizophrenia. The drug is marketed under the trade names Fanapt® and Fanapta. Hydroxy iloperidone is a major metabolite of the atypical antipsychotic iloperidone which is administered for the treatment of schizophrenia. The metabolite is also pharmacologically active, possessing central nervous system (CNS) activity.
