Monkey African green kidney
Used for the isolation of water borne viruses e.g. polio 1, 2, 3, Echo 3, 6, 7, 9, 12, 27, Coxsackie A9 + B1, 2, 3 and Reo 1.

Preparation Note

EMEM (EBSS) (M2279) + 2 mM L-Glutamine (G7513) + 1% NEAA (M7145) + 10% FBS / FCS (F2442).
Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:8 to 1:20, i.e., seeding at 5x1,000 to 2x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C.
