General description

T7 RNA Polymerase, rec. is the key enzyme for in vitro transcription of mRNA. It generates mRNA from double-stranded DNA templates carrying the T7 promoter sequence and efficiently incorporates standard or modified ribonucleoside triphosphates (NTPs) into mRNA transcripts. Its high specificity and processivity enable the production of large quantities of RNA with minimal by-products, facilitating downstream applications.

Application

Synthesized RNA can be used for RNA/DNA blotting techniques, in situ hybridization, RNase protection studies, synthesis of capped RNA, and microarray target synthesis.

Features and Benefits

  • High Efficiency: T7 RNA Polymerase exhibits a high transcription rate, enabling the rapid synthesis of large quantities of mRNA from DNA templates. This efficiency is beneficial for experiments requiring substantial amounts of RNA.

  • Specificity for T7 Promoter: The enzyme specifically recognizes and binds to the T7 promoter sequence, ensuring accurate transcription initiation and reducing the likelihood of non-specific products.

  • Versatile NTP Incorporation: T7 RNA Polymerase can incorporate a range of standard and modified ribonucleoside triphosphates, allowing researchers to tailor RNA transcripts for specific applications and studies.

  • Minimal By-products: The enzyme′s high fidelity and processivity result in the generation of clean RNA products with minimal by-products, enhancing the quality of the synthesized transcripts.

  • Scalable Production: The enzyme′s robust nature allows for scalable production of mRNA, making it suitable for both small-scale laboratory experiments and large-scale applications in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
