Dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) enzyme catalyzes tetrahydrofolate regeneration by reduction of dihydrofolate using NADPH as a cofactor. Tetrahydrofolate and its one carbon adducts are required for de novo synthesis of purines and thymidylate, as well as glycine, methionine and serine. DHFR
