N,N-dimethyl phytosphingosine (DMPS) is a derivative of phytosphingosine.

Biochem/physiol Actions

N,N-dimethyl phytosphingosine (DMPS) prevents the conversion of sphingosine to sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P). It is a potent anti-cancerous therapeutic agent in human leukemia cells.
