General description

A single use multi-component stable isotope labeled internal standard mix of routinely tested Carnitine and Acetylcarnitines, suitable for the preparation of 250 mL DBS extraction solution sufficient for up to 2′500 Acylcarnitine test applications by MS/MS. The stable, quantitative solution format provides significant benefits to the user such as convenience of use, material savings, and increased efficiency of labor. Certified concentration values and lot-to-to consistency for each component provides increased efficiency from less time remaking pools due to dilution errors or rerunning samples. Acylcarnitines are biomarker for many inborn errors of metabolism that cause several metabolic diseases and are routinely tested in newborn screening programs.
