Biochem/physiol Actions
Gab1 phosphorylated on Tyrosine residue 627.
Predicted to cross-react with human based on 100% sequence homology, but have not been tested.
Physical form
100 μL of affinity purified rabbit polyclonal IgG in 50% storage buffer (PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.3 containing 1.0 mg/mL BSA (IgG, protease free) and 0.05% sodium azide) and 50% glycerol.
Affinity purified
Preparation Note
Stable for 2 years at -20°C from date of shipment. Upon first thaw, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol-containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
Analysis Note
Routinely evaluated by immunoblot.

Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) induces a three-phase response leading to the formation of branched tubular structures in epithelial cells. The HGF receptor tyrosine kinase works through a Src homology (SH2) docking site that can activate several signalling pathways. The first

Gab-1 is a multiple docking protein that is tyrosine phosphorylated by receptor tyrosine kinases such as c-Met, hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor receptor, and epidermal growth factor receptor. We have now demonstrated that cell-cell adhesion also induces marked tyrosine phosphorylation of

In this study we have examined CD44 (a hyaluronan (HA) receptor) interaction with a RhoA-specific guanine nucleotide exchange factor (p115RhoGEF) in human metastatic breast tumor cells (MDA-MB-231 cell line). Immunoprecipitation and immunoblot analyses indicate that both CD44 and p115RhoGEF are

The protein Grb2 plays a central role in signalling by receptor protein-tyrosine kinases, where its SH2 domain binds to the receptor and its two SH3 domains link to effectors. One target effector is Sos, so Grb2 links receptor protein-tyrosine kinases
