General description

Anti-Cannabinoid Receptor CB₁ (1-77), rabbit polyclonal, recognizes the ~60 kDa CB1 receptor in wide variety of vertebrates. It is validated for use in immunoblotting and with paraffin sections.
Immunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~60 kDa CB1 receptor protein.
Recognizes the ~60 kDa CB1 receptor protein.

Immunogen

Rat
a recombinant protein consisting of the first 77 amino acids of rat CB₁ receptor

Application

Immunoblotting (1:1000)

Immunocytochemistry (1:100-1:1000)

Paraffin Sections (see comments)

Physical form

In PBS, 1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol.

Preparation Note

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).

Analysis Note

Positive Control
Hippocampal neurons

Other Notes

May also recognize weaker bands at ~23 kDa, ~72 kDa, and ~180 kDa in some tissues. Immunocytochemical staining of living or fixed cultured hippocampal neurons show intense, punctate staining along processes with little staining over cell bodies. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the optimal working dilution.
