    Triton X-100 solutions are stable to autoclaving.  At certain concentrations, the solutions may be cloudy but dispersible above the cloud point. However, the solution should clear with stirring upon cooling.

    Triton X-100 does have UV absorbance at 280 nm, which will interfere with the UV determination of proteins.
