Replication, biochemical, neoplastic transformation, nutritional, metabolic enzyme, morphological, chromosome, immunologic, radiation, toxicologic and virus studies

From parental strain L which was derived from normal subcutaneous areolar and adipose tissue of 100 day old male C3H/An. Used in development of replicate culture techniques, chemically defined media, fluid suspension culture methods and virus assays. Susceptible to pseudorabies virus and vesicular stomatitis (Indiana strain) virus.

NOTE: Both the cell line and DNA from the cell line may be available for this product. Please choose -1VL or VIAL for cells, or -DNA-5UG for DNA.

EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO₂; 37°C. Freeze in 10% glycerol/90% FBS. After resuscitation cells may take up to 4 days to establish growth.
