General description
黄嘌呤是在鸟嘌呤脱氨酶存在的情况下由鸟嘌呤合成。黄嘌呤氧化酶催化由次黄嘌呤生成黄嘌呤并随后分解为尿酸。黄嘌呤衍生物存在于咖啡、茶和可可种子中。黄嘌呤被认为是生成药理活性化合物的先导物。
Application
黄嘌呤已用于构巢曲霉转运试验中的非放射性标记底物混合物。它还被用作黄嘌呤氧化酶的底物,用于鳃细胞和藻类细胞产生超氧阴离子。
Biochem/physiol Actions
