Bay 11-7082可作为NOD样受体热蛋白结构域相关蛋白3(NLRP3)炎性小体信号通路的选择性抑制剂。除了抑制核因子-kappa B(NF-kB)之外,Bay 11-7082还可诱发无核红细胞、人类T细胞白血病病毒I型(HTLV-I)感染T细胞系和原代成人T细胞白血病细胞的凋亡。
